Job Description

In a commercial kitchen, the preparation and cooking of food is the responsibility of the cook. They contribute significantly to the production of delectable and aesthetically pleasing dishes while preserving high culinary standards and ensuring food safety.

Responsibilities

• Food should be prepared and cooked in accordance with menus, recipes, and client preferences.
• Make that the appearance, flavor, and presentation of the food adhere to accepted standards.
• To keep your kitchen clean and hygienic, use standard food handling and safety procedures.
• Manage the stock and inventory of food, keeping an eye on the supply chain and issuing orders as necessary.
• Work together with the kitchen staff to schedule culinary tasks and make sure meals are prepared on time.

Requirements

• Experience in a professional kitchen as a chef or cook, with preference given to training from a culinary school.
• Extensive familiarity with the various culinary methods, ingredients, and kitchen tools.
• Ability to correctly follow recipes and modify them as necessary.
• Strong knowledge of cleanliness and food safety procedures.
• Superior knife skills and knowledge of meal preparation methods
