Crane Operator Responsibilities

• Utilise cranes to lift, transport, and position big objects at building sites or oil and gas facilities in a safe and effective manner.
• Before usage, check cranes to verify correct operation and spot any flaws or problems.
• To keep the crane in top functioning condition, perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Interpret and adhere to lift plans and directives given by project managers or supervisors.
• Calculate and decide on the crane’s load capacity, then modify the boom and jib as necessary.
• To ensure precise and safe crane operations, collaborate with riggers and signalers.
• While using the crane, follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and standards.
• Inform the management right away of any mishaps, events, or equipment problems.
• Keep thorough logbooks and records of all crane operation actions.

Requirements

• Having operated cranes for at least five years in the oil and gas industry.
• Age restriction: 25 to 45.
• In accordance with local regulatory standards, a valid crane operator certification or license.
• Thorough knowledge of crane controls, safety measures, and rigging techniques.
• Ability to read and comprehend lift plans, load charts, and technical manuals.
• To operate cranes and move high items, one needs to be physically fit and strong.
• Excellent depth awareness and hand-eye coordination are required for precise crane motions.
• A keen eye for safety and the capacity to operate well in a team context.
